Autre Monde is an authentic and approachable neighborhood restaurant that celebrates the rich culinary tradition of the Mediterranean coast. With influences from France to Spain, to Portugal, Italy to Greece and across to North Africa, our menu offers a journey through the flavors of these vibrant food cultures. Our atmosphere is casual, service is informed & friendly but approachable as heck and our beverage program features old world wines, craft cocktails celebrating small batch spirits and local beers. Our partners have run some of the finest kitchen and dining rooms in the city & wanted to take those skills and bring them to their own backyard to create the restaurant that they would all most want to eat at. As a green certified build we celebrate local and sustainable building and product. Located on the bustling Roosevelt Corridor – AKA “The Veltway” we are celebrating 10 years this June and welcome you all back to our home away from home.

Christine Tully Aranza
Christine is a veteran of fine & casual dining operations spending her career helming some of the best restaurants and working as a consultant for many others. Among her favorites have been her time with Tony Mantuano at both Tuttaposto and Spiaggia and here time consulting with Shawn McClain and his restaurants. She has a passion travel and hospitality and bringing those unique experiences to her guests. Autre Monde is a passion project that she continues to helm in the community she grew up in. She continues to be very involved in the surrounding community and has been involved in many local community development projects over the years.
A passionate chef who is all about authenticity, Chef Partridge, who has helmed kitchens from Ambria to Spiaggia to Andiamo and eventually Autre Monde, her passion for ingredients and attention to detail is evident in every dish. Her skill is evident throughout our menu. A transplant to the area from Ohio, she now makes Berwyn her home.
Dan Pancake is also a highly experienced chef in his own right with a special passion for butchery the art of smoking & grilling and has a fine eye for the detail on our menu. If you have had one of our house made pastas you have experienced Dan’s expertise at its best. Dan is also a veteran of many of Chicago’s best kitchens. As a founding partner in the restaurant Dan now calls Berwyn home and continues to lead our team of talented cooks.
John is a passionate lover of all things grape related. Having decades of experience in all facets of the beverage world he had an encyclopedic knowledge of wine that he brings to guest in a very unpretentious manner – making wine approachable and fun. John did his formative training under legendary sommelier Henry Bishop III and is a certified Level 2 Sommelier from both The Sommelier Guild and WSET. He is equally passionate about movies and you will see that influence throughout AM. John is also a Berwyn resident and has been active in the community on many boards and causes.
